A Direct mail may be created either in Text format or HTML format.

Before you produce

The advertisement must meet the general rules for creating the advertising formats. Before you send us your finished ad to deploy, please check the allowable max. data size and dimensions. Should you have any questions, do not hesitate and contact us.

Technical specifications of Text format

Compulsory data necessary for sending Direct mail

  1. Subject of Direct mail (max. 80 chars)
  2. Additional text for the email subject (displayed in the report delivered at the email subject).
  3. E-mail address for Direct mailtesting before the Direct mail is sent to real addressees
  4. The date of sending
  5. Text document
  6. URL link
  7. In the case of targeted mailing, also the area of interest that will be targeted

Requirements concerning design

  1. Text format may not contain any images (unlike HTML format). The materials must be delivered either as plain text or in Word (odt, doc or rtf format). If there are any links in the text, a functional and properly marked URL of the links must be provided together with the text.
  2. If the text contains references must be provided URL links along with text in a functional form properly labeled.

Notice

  1. The client delivers the materials at least two working days before the requested date of sending the Direct mail.
  2. Documents to be sent please use the form at https://www.kupi.cz/mailing/direct

Correct functionality

Warning! Before starting the campaign is a test client sent direct mail to the e-mail address. The client is obliged to check that:
  • appearance corresponds agreed graphical form
  • links are functional and are directed to the correct location
  • monitoring statistics functions correctly (impressions, clicks)

Additional information

The Direct mail is sent within the two following working days after the confirmation of Kupi.cz’s sales person at the latest, unless a later date had been stated in the order.

Technical specifications of HTML format

Compulsory data necessary for sending Direct mail

  1. Subject of Direct mail (max. 80 chars)
  2. Additional text for the email subject (displayed in the report delivered at the email subject).
  3. E-mail address for Direct mailtesting before the Direct mail is sent to real addressees
  4. HTML document
  5. ZIP archiv with images
  6. The date of sending
  7. In the case of targeted mailing, also the area of interest that will be targeted

Maximum data size

The maximum data size of each of the graphic elements must be up to 50 kB, while the maximum data size of the entire Direct mail to be up to 500 kB.

Requirements concerning design

  1. Materials must be delivered as a complete HTML document (valid in accordance with XHTML 1.0 Transitional) together with the definition of character set, in which it was written. HTML code must display correctly on the following browsers: Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome (latest versions). We do not recommend using positioning when creating the ad.
  2. Images included in the document must be sent separately in the directory, because they must be stored/saved on Kupi.cz’s server to be displayed in the Message.
  3. All links must open in a new window (target="_blank").
  4. CSS is necessary to define in-line style definition.

Notice

  1. A Direct mail in HTML format may contain Noither Javascript nor Flash format animations (swf).
  2. HTML document can contain only these HTML elements and their attributes.
  3. External measurement must not be part of an HTML document, but it must be stated in the TXT file that will be sent along with the HTML document.
  4. The client delivers the materials at least two working days before the requested date of sending the Direct mail.

Additional information

  1. The recommended width of Direct mail is either fixed – 600 px or 100 % variable, where the width of all nested elements is defined in per cent.
  2. The Direct mail is sent within the two following working days after the confirmation of Kupi.cz’s sales person at the latest, unless a later date had been stated in the order.
